Negros Island in the Philippines
For many years the Rotary Clubs of Illawarra Sunrise and Glendale, with the support of others from different ends of the globe, have been working together to send a medical mission to the outer islands of the Philippines. In 2018 they decided to also look at adding educational value there by trialing Teacher in a Box in a school.
The following year they ordered 4 more and Rotarian John Bilboe advised these have also “been a great hit and have great up lift to those schools who received them”. He said that the schools “are on the outer ring of the Cities and would never be able to have this resource to assist them in learning”.
